Obituary of J. Alex MacNeil

J. Alex MacNeil 71, Hebbville, Lunenburg County, passed away May 26, 2009 in the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Gillis Point, Cape Breton, he was a son of the late Hugh and Margaret Anne MacNeil. He was employed with Canadian General Electric and Harris and Roome Graybar, Canada. He is survived by his wife, Thelma “Sally”; sisters, Terry MacDonald, Lorraine Nelson, Helen Colpa, Sister Marie MacNeil; brother, Joseph; brother and sister in law, Scott and Paulette Sarty; sister in law, Kaye MacNeil; mother in law, Annie Sarty; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, John, Gerald and Leonard; brother in law, Robie MacDonald. Visitation will be held Thursday from 7 to 9pm in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Funeral service will be held 10am Friday in Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Bridgewater, Father Robert Coote officiating. Burial will follow in the Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater.
