Obituary of Wilfred Mailman

Wilfred Henry Mailman 72, Of Chelsea and Bridgewater, Lunenburg County, passed away on August 11, 2007, at South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. He was the eldest son of Hattie (Robar) Mailman, Chelsea and the late Jason Mailman. Wilfred left home at a young age to work for the Mersey Paper Co., followed by several other logging companies until he joined the department of transportation where he remained until his retirement in 1992. Wilfred loved to hunt, fish, watch sports and attend many of the exhibitions where he especially enjoyed the horse pulls. Surviving are his wife of nearly 50 years, Marina (Henley); daughter, Wendy Mailman, Bridgewater; sons, Ricky (Wanda), Middlewood; Bradley (Sue), Hamilton, ON; granddaughter, Krystal Mailman (Andrew Gill), Mississauga, ON; grandson, Troy Mailman, Halifax; step-grandsons, Christopher Nalesso, Hamilton, ON; Tyler Conrad, Bridgewater; Brandon Conrad, Middlewood; brother, Cyril (Debbie)Mailman, Chelsea; brothers in law, Everette (Shirley) Henley, Chelsea; Edward Frank, Bridgewater; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sister, Joan Frank and infant siblings. In keeping with Wilfred’s wishes, there will be no visitation at the funeral home by request. A Celebration of Life service will be held Thursday, August 16, 2007 at 2pm in the Chelsea Baptist Church, Chelsea, Pastor Dennis Nickerson officiating.
