Obituary of Garth Archibald Ramey

Garth Archibald Ramey 78 0f Upper Northfield, passed away Sunday, November 29, 2009 in the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Upper Northfield, he was the son of the late Dorothy (Randall) Ramey and Archibald Ramey. He was a heavy equipment mechanic by trade and spent many years working on farm tractors. He was a quiet unassuming man and a beloved husband, father and grampa. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Esther (Uhlman) Ramey; daughter Margaret (Ernest) Carver; son Paul (Nan) Ramey; and daughter Julie Ramey; grandchildren Ben, Matthew, Asheley and Jake and a sister Isabel Wagner. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held 7 – 9 pm Tuesday December 1, 2009 at Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. A memorial service will be held 2pm Wednesday December 2, 2009 at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, Upper Northfield, Rev. William Gustafson officiating. There will be a reception following the service in the Upper Northfield Community Hall; a private family burial will take place. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Memorial Fund of Mt.
