Obituary of William Mansfield

William Ernest Mansfield 71, New Germany, Lunenburg Co., passed away on December 5, 2007, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Westfield, he was a son of the late Harold and LeeEtta (Riley) Mansfield. He was a member of Epworth United Church, New Germany; New Germany and Area Men’s Choir; he was a past member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 102, New Germany and in his earlier years served with the army reserves. Surviving are his daughters, Belinda (David), Simpsons Corner; Wanda, at home; Colette (Jerry), Heidi (Dave), all of New Germany; sons, Ernie (Debbie), New Germany; Rickey (Patty), Pinehurst; Quinn (Tari), Branch LaHave; sister, Esther, Westfield; grandchildren, Alisa, Steven, Maggie, Melissa (Linsay), Catherine, Kenny, Michelle, Chloe, Sophie; great-grandchildren, Kylee, Kelsi; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Margaret Moore; a son in infancy; sister, Alma; brother, Roscoe. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Friday in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 4895 Route 10, New Germany. Funeral 2 p.m. Sunday in Epworth United Church, Rev. Joan Conrad officiating. Burial will follow in Epworth Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations may be made to the family or a charity of choice.
