Obituary of Alvin Robar

Alvin Robar Caledonia, Queens Co., passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2009 in Harbour View Haven Nursing Home, Lunenburg, where he had been residing. Born in Nineveh, he was a son of the late Kenneth and Ethel (Smith) Robar. Prior to retirement, he was the head custodian for North Queen’s Nursing Home, Caledonia. Surviving are his daughter, Rachel Robar, Bridgewater; sons, George, Calgary; Duane, Bridgewater; sisters, Loreen (Harold) Conrad, Dayspring; Marcella Colp, Lunenburg; grandchildren, Michaela and Tristan. He was predeceased by his first wife, Joan (Frail) Robar, second wife, Betty (Mosher) Robar; son, Nelson; brother, Jordan. Visitation beginning at 1 p.m. on Tuesday in Sweeny’s Funeral Chapel, Bridgewater with funeral service at 2 p.m. Mr. Bruce Barkhouse officiating. Burial will follow in the Gospel Cemetery, Nineveh.
