Obituary of David M. Slauenwhite

David M. Slauenwhite Passed away September 28, 2009 at the age of 57 due to a tragic accident. Born in Bridgewater and raised in Middlewood, he was the son of the late Gussum and Thelma Slauenwhite. In 1970 he moved from Middlewood to Cherry Hill. David loved the outdoors and the simple things in life. He built his own home from things nature provided. He loved old cars, tractors and making things out of wood where he became a famous folk artist. In his younger years he worked as a fisherman. He was loved for his charm and personality. He will be sadly missed by his sisters, Madelyn, Middlewood; Barbie, Western Shore; Phoebe, Conquerall Bank; Susan, East Port Medway; Brenda, Liverpool; Anita, Cherry Hill; brothers, Eddie, Dayspring; Stanley, Bridgewater; Roger, Dayspring; Hector, Frankie, Garnie, all of Cherry Hill and friends and neighbors. He was predeceased by his brother, Gerald. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at the Emmanuel Pentecostal Church in Middlewood 2:00 pm Saturday October 24. No flowers by request, memorial donations may be made to the Calvary Lutheran Cemetery Fund or charity of choice. No visitation by request.
