Obituary of Gordon Saunders Veinotte

Gordon Saunders Veinotte 93, Oakhill, Lunenburg Co., passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2009 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Upper Cornwall, he was a son of the late G. Aaron and Seretha (Whynot) Veinotte. He was a founding member of Oakhill and District Fire Department; member of Royal Canadian Legion, branch 24, Bridgewater; IOOF Lodge #63; West Nova Scotia Regiment. Surviving are his wife the former, Olive Penney; sons, Arthur (Susan), Wayne (Sharon), all of Oakhill; Gerald at home; 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by brother, Edward; sister, Ellen. A private graveside service will be held at a later date in Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater. No visitation or flowers by request, donations may be made to Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia or Oakhill District Fire Department.
