Obituary of Isobel Yvonne Wentzell

Isobel Yvonne Wentzell 78 of Mahone Bay, formerly of Newburne Lunenburg County, passed away Friday 20 February 2009 at the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Maplewood, Lunenburg County she was the daughter of the late James and Lizzy (Faulkenham) Corkum. Isobel is survived by her daughters Inez (Robert) Dorey, Waldon; Romona (Eugene) Wentzell, Bridgewater; Lorna (Kirk) Meisner, Upper Northfield; Sons Glen (Juanita) Wentzell, Newburne; Alexander (Tammy) Wentzell, Maplewood; sisters Eva Barkhouse, Western Shore; Greta (George) Demone, Cornwall; Daisy Carter, Bridgewater; Olive (Bennett) Sawler, Western Shore; brothers Ellis (Marilyn) Corkum, Ontario; Arlee Corkum (Theresa) Western Shore; Donald Corkum, Bridgewater; grandchildren Virginia, Carman, Miranda, Clifton, Winston, Melanie and Marcella; great-grandchildren Katrina, Jacob, Amelia and William along with several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Leaman; brothers Carmon, Leon in infancy. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 PM Saturday 28 February 2009 in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. There will be no services and a private family burial will take place at a later date. Flowers are accepted and memorial donations in Isobel’s memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetic Association, Mahone Nursing Home or charity of choice.
