Obituary of Nathan T.A. Bent

Nathan Theodore Alan Bent 27, died tragically on New Year’s Eve in Riverport, Lunenburg Co., as a result of a motor vehicle accident. He was living in Listowel, Ontario, for the past few years, working as a welder. Born in Halifax, he lived his childhood in Bridgewater, where he attended Parkview Education Center and NSCC. Left to grieve are his dad, Ted Bent, Bridgewater; mother, Wendy Bent, step dad George Pike, Pentz; sister, Allalie Bent Sanoe (Varphy), Thailand; step sister, Barbara Jane Pike, Halifax; girlfriend, Courtney Cotter and her daughter, Jayla, whom he loved dearly. Nathan leaves behind many close friends, family, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by maternal grandparents, Lester and Allalie “Kate” Keddy, Clarence; paternal grandparents, Carroll and Ruby Bent, Beaconsfield; Uncle, Doug Keddy, Cousin, Kim (Black) Williams. Visitation 7-9 p.m. Friday in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Funeral service 2 p.m. Saturday in West Side United Church, Pentz. Rev. Neil McEwen officiating. Cremation to follow the service.
