Obituary of James Garfield Bruce

James Garfield Bruce 92, passed away, Thursday, April 29 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. He was the last surviving member of his family. Born in Stellarton, he was the son of the late George and Margaret (Munro) Bruce. He is survived by his wife, Jean. Also surviving are his children, Danny (Judy), Heather Green (Jack), Alan (Gwyn), Gary (Pat), Sylvia Cosh (Emberley), Joan Julien, David, Helen (Andrew) and Eileen Allen (Russell) and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Helen (Smith). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 1 at 2 p.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Cookville, Nova Scotia. Family flowers only, donations in his memory may be made to the Kingdom Hall in Cookville or a charity of your choice. The family would like to thank Dr. David Barss and the staff at the hospital.
