Linda Jean Copeland
It is with great sadness that the family of Linda Jean Copeland of Riverview and formerly of Bridgewater, NS announce her passing on Tuesday November 16, 2010 at the Moncton Hospital. Born March 14, 1944 in Bridgewater, she was the daughter of Pearl and the late George Copeland. Linda developed a passion for our national sport “ Hockey” at an early age, was a true and devoted fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs and most recently the Moncton Wild Cats and attended every game that she could to cheer the team on to victory, for her the year was divided into two season summer and hockey. Linda spent many years at the Ark in Bridgewater, where she developed a considerable talent for rug hooking, and at the same time she joined the choir and cherished the fond memories. Over the years she developed many special friendships, which were like an extension of her family. Left with fond and loving memories are her mother Pearl Langille of Riverview, brothers; Mike (Carol) of Riverview, Dick (Laura) of Moncton and Jim (Louise) of Wolfville, NB, as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by her father George Copeland, step fathers; Carl Walthers and Raymond Langille as well as her stepsister and best friend Debbie Langille. The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview (869-2007) on Friday from 7-9, and at C. F. Sweeny's Funeral Home, Bridgewater, NS (543-2587) on Saturday from 7-9. The funeral service will held at C.F. Sweeny's Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday November 21 at 2PM, with Rev. Paul Jensen officiating. Donations in Linda’s memory can be made to The Canadian Mental Health Association, the Alzheimer’s Society or to “The Ark” in Bridgewater.
