Obituary of Shirley Louise Dorey

Shirley Louise Dorey 75, Scarsdale, Lunenburg Co., passed away on Wednesday, June 9, 2010 in Hillside Pines Nursing Home, Bridgewater, where she had been residing. Born in Scarsdale, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Bernice (Rafuse) Zwicker. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church of Parkdale-Maplewood. She was an Avon saleslady for a number of years; she was the community correspondent for the Friends and Neighbours column of the Bridgewater Bulletin. Surviving are daughters, Anne (James) Wentzell, West Northfield; Marilyn (Ritchie) Jodrey, Pinehurst; Maxine (Darrell) Buckler, Kingston; son, Bruce (Heather), Scarsdale; brothers, Gerald (Marjorie), Auburndale; Alfred (Caroline), Timberlea; Harley (Betty), Pinehurst; Errol (Bev), Avonport; Howard (Joan), Maplewood; Leon (Eleanor), East Dalhousie; grandchildren, Matthew, Michelle, Bernice, Brenton, Justin, Kent, Evan; great grandchildren, Brooke, Chloe; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Clyde. No visitation at the funeral home by request. Funeral 2 p.m. Monday in Emmanuel Baptist Church, Parkdale. Rev. Leon Langille officiating.
