Obituary of Isabel Louise Ernst

Isabel Louise Ernst (Hebb) 87, of Blockhouse, passed away peacefully in South Shore Regional Hospital on December 23, 2010. Born November 11, 1923 in Bridgewater, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Freda Hebb. Isabel is survived by siblings: Maizie DeMone, Fall River; Keith Hebb, Bridgewater; Shirley Crouse, Ontario; Barbara (Alan) Adams, Dartmouth; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by husband Llewelyn Ernst and siblings: Mildred Webb, Robert, Henry, Gordon, Audrey LeBlanc, Philip, Paul and brother-in-law Claude. Isabel graduated from the Victoria General School of Nursing and was a dedicated operating room nurse at the Dawson Memorial Hospital in Bridgewater. Isabel loved nature and animals, was kind, and compassionate with a great sense of humour. She was loved by all who knew her. Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 28 with private family visitation from 1:00 – 2:00 pm and public visitation from 2:00 – 4:00 pm at Sweeny’s Funeral Home in Bridgewater, where funeral service will be at 11 am Wednesday, December 29, Rev. Bob Zinck officiating. Private family interment will follow at the Garden of Rest Cemetery, Blockhouse. Family flowers only, donations of Isabel may be made to S.H.A.I.D.
