Margaret O'Brien Hennigar
87, Of Bridgewater, passed away on Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at South Shore Regional Hospital. Born, July 18, 1922 in Minasville, Hants County, she was a daughter of the late George and Florence (Woodworth) Hamilton. Margaret was a retired teacher and guidance counselor, who was active in the Nova Scotia Teacher’s Union and Liberal Party for many years. She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Gorman, Bridgewater; son, Thomas Gorman, Alberta; sisters, Phyllis Dixon, Grand Greve, Cape Breton; Shirley Woolaver, Bear River; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husbands, Enslie Gorman and Robie Hennigar; sisters, Abbie, Esther, Marion, Isabel, Alberta, Grace, Clara, Sarah; brothers, Edward and Leslie. Service will be held 2 pm, Monday at Noel United Church, Noel, Rev. Angus MacDonald officiating with a reception to follow at the Royal Canadian Legion, Noel. No visitation or flowers by request. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Parkinson Society of Nova Scotia, Noel United Church or charity of choice.
