Obituary of Florence Patricia Himmelman

Florence Patricia "Pat" Himmelman 90, Bridgewater, Lunenburg County, passed away on Sunday, November 7, 2010 in Harbour View Haven Home for Special Care, Lunenburg. Born in England, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Florence Smithers. She arrived in Nova Scotia by landing at Pier 21 in Halifax as a war bride in 1945. She will be missed and never forgotten by daughters, Diane Scott, Halifax; Jane “Valerie” (Wayne) Smith, Broad Cove; Sally (David) Zinck, Bridgewater; sons, Barrie “Bubby” (Virginia) Himmelman, Bridgewater; Michael Himmelman, Dartmouth; numerous grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren; sister, Anne Matthews, England. She was predeceased by husband, Warren Willis Himmelman; daughters, Barbara Himmelman and Patricia Ann “Pam” Bolivar; son, Brian Himmelman; sister, Irene; brothers, Arthur, Fred and Bert. No visitation at the funeral home by request. A graveside service will be held 10am Friday November 12 in the Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater, Rev. Ron Appleton officiating. No flowers by request. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia or Harbour View Haven Home for Special Care, Lunenburg.
