Obituary of Bessie Rachel Hirtle

Bessie Rachel Hirtle 98, Bridgewater, passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2010 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Bridgewater she was a daughter of the late Allister and Emma (Banks) Banks. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Bridgewater and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are her son, Paul (Carol), Georgetown, Mass; 7 grandchildren, many great grandchildren; dear niece, Kathleen Hake, Brickton and numerous other nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Harris Hirtle, second husband, Merle Hirtle; son, James, a grand-daughter and 10 brothers and sisters. Visitation 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 2, in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater, followed by funeral service at 11 a.m., Rev. Willis Ott officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Canadian Red Cross Haiti Relief Fund.
