Obituary of Myrtrice Olive Juanita Hirtle

Myrtice Olive Juanita (Sperry) Hirtle 95, Bridgewater, passed away on Friday, April 23, 2010 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born, December 20, 1914 in West Dublin, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Delilah Sperry. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge for 42 years and also a member of the Women’s Institute of Nova Scotia for 43 years. During this time she served on the Provincial Southern District and local branches. She played the organ for several years at Conquerall Mills Presbyterian Church and also assisted at the friendship group, Bridgewater. Surviving are a daughter, Frances “Frankie” (James) McCaffery, Courtenay, BC; three grandchildren, Jill Suzanne Côté (Jacques), Ottawa; Bruce Edward McCaffery (Deeda), Ottawa; Dane Michael McCaffery (Shelley), Moncton; seven great grandchildren. She was predeceased by husband, Leaman Harold; six older siblings; great grandson, Jason. No visitation at the funeral home by request. Memorial service 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Sweeny’s Funeral Chapel, Bridgewater. Private family burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, West Dublin.
