Obituary of Frances Rosella Mailman

Frances Rosella Mailman 84, Falkland Ridge, Anna. Co., slipped away quietly on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born March 25, 1926, Frances was the daughter of the late Arthur & Mary (Burgoyne) Dorey. Frances was a loving mother, grandmother and in her early years, worked as a cook for Lou Naugler’s camps. Her main occupation in life was a home maker and she loved her home, where she shared her food and love of cooking with all who came to her kitchen table. She enjoyed the simple things in life, including fishing, lexicon puzzles and going for drives looking for deer. She is the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by her faithful, long time companion, Albert Lowe, Falkland Ridge; sons, James (Linda) Doucette, Dartmouth; Donald (Janet) Doucette, North River; Graham (Nancy), Beaver Bank; Gary (Patricia), Conquerall Mills; step daughters, Barb Selig, Deep Brook; Joy Peck, Bear River; many deeply loved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Frances was predeceased by husband, Leon Mailman; sister, Grace Gates; brother, Calvin; infant daughter; four step-sons, Hanley, Eugene, Shirley, Frederick; grandson, Adam Doucette. Sincere thanks to Dr. Heather Robertson, and fourth floor medical nursing unit at South Shore Regional Hospital. No visitation by request. Funeral 11 a.m., Saturday in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 4895 route 10, New Germany. Rev. Robert Gates officiating. Private family interment will follow in Springfield Baptist Cemetery, Springfield.
