Obituary of Mary Elizabeth Anne MacDonnell

Mary Elizabeth Anne MacDonnell (Theriault) 81, passed away at her home in Halifax, on November 20, 2010. Born in Mahone Bay, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Olive (Boylan) Theriault. Mary grew up in Bridgewater, where she attended Bridgewater High School and later graduated from Commercial School before heading off to Halifax where she eventually worked for FSS Branch of the RCMP for 37 years until her retirement in 1996. Mary will be greatly missed by all her family and friends especially by her beloved cat Jake, who was a constant companion to her. Mary is survived by her daughter, Mary (Dave) Rose, Bridgewater; sons, Gary (Wendy), Upper Sackville; Frank (Sue), New Waterford; seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren; brother, Frank (Wynann) Theriault; sisters, Frances Doucette and Celeste Meehan; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by husband, James; brothers, Gerald and Jack Theriault. No visitation at the funeral home by request. Funeral mass 2 p.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Bridgewater, Father Joe Christensen officiating. Private burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Church Cemetery, Bridgewater.
