Obituary of Ruby Violet Nauss

Ruby Violet Nauss 77, of Conquerall Mills. In the early evening of Monday December 13 an earthly angel was called home to heaven. It is with great sorrow that we, the family of Ruby Violet (Sarty) Nauss announce her peaceful passing at the South Shore Regional Hospital Bridgewater. Born in New Cumberland, Lunenburg County, she was the eighth child and third daughter of Wallace and Minnie “Eva” (Wile) Sarty Sr. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, always putting her family’s needs far beyond her own. She will live on in our hearts and memory forever. Ruby was a faithful member of Ascension Lutheran Church, Conquerall Mills, as well as Mathas Ladies Group. She also enjoyed working in the Community Hall. Ruby loved meeting people and so enjoyed the many bus trips she took with her friends. She enjoyed quilting, hooking mats, reading and spending time with her family. She will be remembered as a kind gentle soul and will be forever missed by her family and many friends. She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Wentzell (Peter) of Conquerall Mills, her son Kevin (Sally) of Bridgewater, one grandson Ricky (Jennifer) and one great-grandson Evan, whom she adored, of Conquerall Mills. She is also survived by four brothers, Walter, Sudbury Ontario, Gerald and Merrill (Claribel) of Conquerall Mills and Wally (Myrlene) of Lake Center and one sister, Sylvia Tibbetts (Ken) Of Hemford Forest; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Aubrey Garfield, in 2003, brothers Elwood and Dugald and sisters, Marjorie and Clara. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 16, from 7 to 9pm in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Funeral service will be held 2:30pm Friday in the Ascension Lutheran Church, Conquerall Mills, Rev. Catharine House officiating. Interment will be in the family plot of Ascension Lutheran Church, Conquerall Mills.
