Malcolm Rubin
84, Bridgewater, passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2010 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Chicago, Ill., he was a son of the late Tillie (Flasburg) and Sidney Rubin. He was a veteran of the Second World War and served in the American Navy. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, branch 24, Bridgewater; member of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Bridgewater; St. Teresa of Avala Society and Knights of Columbus. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Surviving are his wife, the former, Anna Marie (Stewart); daughters, Susan Bollinger, Elizabeth Wheeler, both of Houston, Tx; stepdaughter, Tara Buckley, Bridgewater; sons, Paul, Round Rock, Tx.; John, Carolltown, Tx.; stepson, J. Patrick Buckley, Bridgewater; granddaughter, Loralei Buckley and numerous other grandchildren and great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by sister, Eleanor (Rubin) Kramer. No visitation at the funeral home by request. Funeral mass 10:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church. Father Joe Christensen officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, St. Vincent de Paul Society or Canadian Cancer Society.
