Obituary of Henry McCarthy

Henry Allen McCarthy 89, of Italy Cross, Lunenburg County, passed away January 23, 2007 in the Harbour View Haven Home for Special Care, Lunenburg. Born in Italy Cross, he was a son of the late Solomon and Jessie (Herman) McCarthy. He is survived by his daughters, Julia (Carter) Naugler, Petite Riviere; Lelia (Raymond) Slauenwhite, Massachusetts; Florence (Ross) Reasor, Kentucky; a son, David (Brenda) McCarthy, Alberta; 10 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; brothers, George McCarthy, Italy Cross; Harold (Sadie Fancy) McCarthy, Somerset; Gordon (Joan Fancy) McCarthy, Bridgewater; sisters, Frances (Dean) Harmon, Hebbs Cross; Una Corkum, Bridgewater; Marina (Edward) Corkum, Italy Cross; Marion Rhodenizer, Bridgewater. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Helen Naugler; an infant son, Robert; sisters, Jennie Llewellyn, Ester Crouse, Gladys Wile; brothers, Emmerson, Arthur and Cecil in infancy. Visitation will be held Friday from 7 to 9pm in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater and from where funeral service will be held 11am Saturday. Burial will follow in the St Matthew’s Anglican Cemetery, Italy Cross. Flowers accepted. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Harbour View Haven Home for Special Care, Lunenburg or St Matthew’s Anglican Cemetery Fund.
