Obituary of Arlene Pearl Sarty

Arlene Pearl (Hebb) Sarty 83, Hillside Pines Nursing Home, Bridgewater, passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 6, 2010. Born in Halifax on May 25, 1927 she was the daughter of the late Margaret (Bagnell) and Gordon Hebb of Bridgewater. She was predeceased by husband Eric Sarty, brothers, Douglas, Cyril and Everett Hebb. She is survived by her “adopted” family Bill and Koreen Whalen and their family. She was a hairdresser in Halifax and Bridgewater. She will be lovingly missed for her kindness and wonderful sense of humor, which remained until her death. A public graveside service will be held 1:30pm Sunday September 12 in the Hebbville Cemetery, Rev Paul Jensen officiating. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation at the funeral home. No flowers by request. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Bridgewater or the Hillside Pines Nursing Home.
