Obituary of John Vincent Saxton

John Vincent Saxton 78, Bridgewater, passed away after a short illness on December 6, 2010 at the QEII, Halifax. John was the son of the late Joseph and Annie Saxton. John worked for Canada Post throughout Nova Scotia for 35 years prior to his retirement as the Post Master of Bridgewater. He leaves behind his wife of 51 years, Mildred (McKay), sons, Mark (Cheryl), Calgary, and Matt (Astrid), Berlin, Germany, and daughters, Anne (Laurie) Martin and Kathleen (Chris) Wamboldt, both of Liverpool. John’s pride and joy were his grandchildren, Alicia, Alex, Nicole, Zachary, Colton, Lucia, and Katarina with whom he had never-ending pride and praise. Survived are his brothers Donald (Dot) and Gerald (Helena) of Purcell's Cove, and Joseph of Truro. Predeceased by his sister Theresa, sister-in-law Jean and infant grandson Ryan. Cremation has taken place and a private memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
