Obituary of Vernon D. Veinot
Vernon Donald Veinot
77, New Germany, passed away, Thursday, February 11, 2010 in Rosedale Home for Special Care, New Germany. Born in New Albany, he was a son of the late Clyde and Emma (Gates) Veinot. He resided most of his life in New Albany with wife Ruth and their family. In his early years he was employed by E R McMaster & Sons, Kingston, he later owned and operated V&M Lumber and was a retired bus driver with the Annapolis County School Board. He was a member of the United Baptist Church of New Albany as well as a past caretaker of Pine Grove Cemetery, New Albany. He is survived by sons Michael (Cathy), Peter, all of Kingston; Mervin, Kempt Shore; daughter, Mary (Kevin) Frank, Bridgewater; grandchildren, Kyla and Matthew Veinot, Drew and Delaney Frank. He was predeceased by wife, Ruth; son, Stanley, in infancy; sisters, Agnes, Bessie; brothers, Ronald, Raymond. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Friday, February 26, 2010 in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 4895 route 10, New Germany. A Celebration of Life Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Epworth United Church, New Germany, Rev. Dale Gray officiating. Interment will be at a later date in the New Albany Cemetery. Family flowers only, please, donations in Vernon’s memory may be made to Rosedale Home for Special Care, Kidney Foundation of Canada or Pine Grove Cemetery, New Albany.
