Obituary of Lois Kathleen Young

Lois Kathleen (Hebb) Young 91, of Branch LaHave passed away Friday 2 April 2010 in the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Midville Branch, Lunenburg Co., she was the daughter of the late Archibald and Alice (Rhodenizer) Hebb. To Lois - her church, family and community were everything. She was a life time member of St. James Lutheran Church in Branch La Have where she taught Sunday school, and was well known for her home style food that she would bring to the church events. She will be remembered for her laughter and stories, and was articulate in making balsam fir Christmas wreaths for family and friends. Lois was a wonderful mother who was dedicated to her five children and their families. She is survived by her children, Arthur (Betty), Branch LaHave; Caroll (Dolly), Hebbville; Rex (Patsy), Greenwood; Marguerite (Jerry) Cross, Wileville; and Marjorie (Gerald) Zwicker, Auburndale; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 5 great great-grandchildren; Sisters, Maud Wile, Wileville and Lilly Jarvis, Conquerall Bank. Lois was predeceased by her husband Henry; brothers Freeman, Arthur, Albert and Parker; sister, Ellen. Visitation will be held 7:00 to 9:00 P.M., Monday 05 April in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 06 at St. James Lutheran Church, Branch LaHave, Rev. William Gustafson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Family flowers only. Memorial donations in Lois’s memory may be made to St. James Lutheran Church, Branch LaHave or the Branch LaHave Community Hall.
