Obituary of Lender Patrick Bowles

Lender Patrick Bowles Age 68, Blockhouse, passed away February 14, 2011 at home. Lender was born in Montreal on November 23, 1943 and was the oldest son of Lender and Marguerite (Levia) Bowles. He grew up in Montreal where he met the love of his life, Susie. Together they started their family and moved to Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia. Lender was a “Jack of all trades” kind of guy. He was a fisherman, electrician, carpenter, and auto mechanic in his younger years, but overall he was known as a gifted and talented stone mason. Working with stone became his passion and he continued in this line of work for over 30 years. As the oldest son in a family of nine children, Lender was looked upon, as the head of his family after both parents were deceased. He was a kind-hearted man who loved spending time with his brothers fishing, hunting and reminiscing. He is survived by his wife Alberta “Susie” (Laurie), son Lender Bowles (Andrea Conrad), grandchildren Stella and William, daughter Laura Bowles (Paul Charron), brothers Richard (Debbie) Bowles, Billy (Anne) Bowles, John (Claire) Bowles, Donald (Brenda) Bowles, Gerry (Ruby) Bowles, Bobby Wright, and sister Donna (Tim) McGary, sister in-law Heather Bowles, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Michael Bowles. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Charity of Choice.
