Obituary of Glenn Megaffin Bright
Glenn Megaffin Bright
86 of Bridgewater, passed away June 8, 2011 in South Shore Regional Hospital. Glenn was the son of the late Stanley and Irene (Megaffin) Bright. Born in Baljennie Saskatchewan August 17, 1924. He served in the Canadian Armed Forces in The Royal Canadian Corp of Signals from 1943 - 1979 and in French-Indo China (Vietnam) July 1954 - August 1955. He retired as Chief Warrant Officer to Regina Saskatchewan but returned to live in Bridgewater in 1983. Glenn was a past member of the Lions Club, Kiwanis Golden K, Legion, Signalers Club of Canada and Osprey Ridge Golf Club. He is survived by his loving and loyal wife Liz (Hebb); son, Greg (Fran) Bright, Oakville ON; daughter, Beverley Bright (Marty Coshman), Ottawa; one grandson, Aaron (Vanda) Bright, Toronto, ON; one granddaughter, Jodi Bright, Mississauga ON; sisters, Shirley Miller, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; Mel (Ted) Turner, Regina, Saskatchewan; brothers, Jim (Jane) Bright, Edmonton, Alberta; Wayne (Carol) Bright, Rosetown, Saskatchewan; several nieces and nephews; several sister and brother in laws. Glenn loved sports, especially golf, hockey and football. He will be remembered as being a very proud man and will be sadly missed by his family and his friends who knew him well. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life service will take place at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to any charity of choice.
