Obituary of Ivan Clarence Conrad

Ivan Clarence Conrad 79, loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, of Upper Branch, Lunenburg Co., died Wednesday, June 1, 2011 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born, July 24, 1931, he was a son of the late Clarence and Mabel (Knox) Conrad. He lived and worked in Andover, Maine for 21 years and the moved back to Nova Scotia in April 1975 and worked at Michelin Tire (Canada) Bridgewater plant for 19 years before retiring in 1994. He was a caring and giving person and enjoyed life to the fullest and will be missed. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Fern (Cook) Conrad; daughters, Toni (William) Blais, Gays River; Coral (Paul) Morrow, Maplewood; sons, Dale (Linda) Conrad, Troy (Cheree) Conrad all of Jackman, Maine; brothers, Teddy (Sandy), Andover, Maine; Vaughn (Frances), Auburndale; Ronnie (Dianne), Upper Branch; sister, Virginia (William) Drew, Upper Branch; foster brothers, Garth Haskell, Robert Knickle and Lennis Wentzell; foster sister, Joey Randall; 10 grandchildren, a great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother in infancy. Memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lakeside Cemetery, New Canada, Hillside Cemetery, Upper Branch or charity of choice.
