Obituary of Ernest Charles DeYoung

Ernest Charles DeYoung 89, of Bridgewater, formerly of Halifax, passed away February 16, 2011. Born in Halifax, he was the son of the late Charles and Louise (Ernst) DeYoung. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was a retired employee of the Provincial Health Department having worked for 28 years. He was a member of the Bridgewater Baptist Church where he was a very dedicated usher and the other ushers had such an appreciation for him that they had an open house party for him on the occasion of his 85 birthday. Visitation will be held Monday February 21, 2011 from 9am to 10am with funeral service to follow at 10am all in Sweeny’s Funeral Chapel, Bridgewater, Rev. Sarah Scott officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Lunenburg. No flowers by request. Memorial donations may be made to the Bridgewater Baptist Church or charity of your choice.
