Obituary of Gertrude Pitcher

Gertrude Marie Pitcher Of Pleasantville, Lunenburg County passed away June 8, 2007 in the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in River Hebert, Cumberland County, she was a daughter of the late Rev. Abraham and M. Florence (McArtt) Pitcher. She graduated from both the Normal College in Truro and Acadia University. She taught in Alberta, England and various Nova Scotia communities. She is survived by her sister, Georgina Kelly, West LaHave; 2 nieces and a nephew. She was predeceased by her sister, Annie Frances Côté. A memorial service will be held 2pm Tuesday in St. Peter’s Anglican Church, West LaHave, Rev. David Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in St. Peter’s Anglican Cemetery, Pentz. There will be no visitation at the funeral home by request. Family flowers only.
