Edith Flora Poole
100, Of New Germany, Lunenburg County, passed away on Wednesday, June 27, 2007 in North Queen’s Nursing Home, Caledonia, where she had been residing. Born July 30, 1906 in New Germany, she was a daughter of the late Isaac and Eldora (Lowe) Tipert. She was a member of St. John in the Wilderness Anglican Church, New Germany. Surviving are sons, Layton “Billy” (Winnifred), Kentville; Morris (Norma), Hamilton, ON.; Gerald, New Germany; daughters, Lucille Hamm, Halifax; Lana (Eugene) Veinotte, West Northfield; grandchildren, Nancy (Ian) Worthylake, Kentville; Donna Poole, Brookside; Marsha (Bob) Mann, Halifax; Gwen Hamm, Chester; Richard (Jean) Poole, Edmonton, AB; Terri (John) Parke, Bedford; Jennifer (Brad) Mogensen, Christopher (Sherri) Poole, both of Hamilton, ON.; Andy (Cheryl) Veinotte, Bridgewater; Anne Veinotte, Halifax; Angela Veinotte (Nathan Hirtle), Sheldrake Lake; 16 great grandchildren, a great great grandson; sisters, Meda Whynot, Windsor; Margaret Ward, Bridgewater; Elsie Veinot, New Germany. Predeceased by husband, Eugene; son in law, Beverley Hamm; great grandson, Graham Poole; sister, Amy Meisner; brothers, Reginald, Layton, Maxwell. Visitation 7 – 9 p.m. Monday in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 4895 route 10, New Germany. Funeral 11 a.m. Tuesday, in St. John in the Wilderness Anglican Church, New Germany. Rev. Anna Hoeg officiating. Private family interment will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. John in the Wilderness Anglican Church Organ Fund.
