Obituary of Dianne Eleanor Hay

Dianne Eleanor Hay, nee Martin Passed away on July 18th, 2011 at Queens General Hospital, Liverpool, NS after a courage battle with Multiple Myeloma Cancer. Dianne Eleanor Hay, born November 10th, 1946 in Saint John, NB. Dianne was a member of the Bridgewater Garden Club, Life member of the United Church Women, member of the Session of Bridgewater United Church, past member of the South Shore Hospital Auxiliary and volunteered at the Hospital Gift Shop and for S.H.A.I.D. Animal Shelter. Dianne is survived by her brother Gerald Martin (Marjorie), special niece Laina Martin, Saint John NB; brothers, Patrick, Barrie, Ont.; William (Claudette), Moncton, NB and sister, Carole Kohr (Robert), Saint John, NB. Dianne was predeceased by her husband Frederick Hay and her mother Betty Martin. Special mention and heartfelt thanks from Dianne’s family is given to very special friends Marianne Goodwin and Bev Burgess for the care and extended help they have given Dianne. Thanks to Dr. Robertson, Dr. White, Dr. Ernest and the Nurses and staff of South Shore Regional Hospital, QEII and Queens General Hospital. Special thanks are extended to Janie Ryan, Sandy Legge and the staff of Hillsview Acres Home for Special Care, Middlefield, Queens County where Dianne resided for the past year. No visitation by request. Cremation has taken place with interment at a later date in Saint John, NB. There will be a memorial service 1:00 pm, Saturday July 23 at the Bridgewater United Church, 87 Hillcrest Street, Bridgewater, Rev. Ivan Norton officiating. Reception to follow.
