Obituary of Gertrude Ramey

Gertrude Jean Ramey 82, Bridgewater passed away November 13, 2007 in the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Sydney Mines, Cape Breton, she was a daughter of Robert and Mary Anne (Sexton) Mouland. She was a member of the Bridgewater Baptist Church where she faithfully served in the choir and on several committees until the past few years when she was confined to her home. She was a Dominion Life Member of the United Baptist Women’s Missionary Union. She will be sadly missed by her husband, Eldridge; daughters, Pat (Richard) Zinck, Bridgewater; Wendi Ramey, San Jose, Ca.; grandchildren, Steven (Helen) Zinck, Jamie (Amy) Zinck, Melissa Pachella, Jeremy (Stephanie) Germain; great grandchildren, Josh, Jenna, Christie, Tyler; sisters, Ruth (Cecil) Lewis, Betty (Ike) Spears; numerous special nieces, nephews and many special friends. She was predeceased by brothers and sisters, Norman, Gladys, Robert, Mabel, Henry, Nell, Wilson, Howard and Violet. Visitation will be held in Sweeny’s Funeral Chapel, Bridgewater on Saturday from 1 to 2pm with the funeral service to follow at 2pm, Rev Lloyd Gillieo officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Rest Cemetery, Greenfield. No flowers by request. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Bible Society, United Baptist Women’s Missionary or the charity of your choice.
