Brewster Norten Mosher 17 April 1926 - 18 September 2011 Of New Germany, born in Hemford Nova Scotia was the son of the late Harriett and Randall Mosher. Brewster was predeceased by his beloved wife, June (nee McElmon). He enjoyed a happy life and was exceptionally close with family. He served in the Provost Corp during World War II and subsequently in the Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry. He had a lengthy career in the Canadian Customs which included many moves but mostly in Nova Scotia. He loved to hunt and fish. In his later years he returned to New Germany and lived in his grandparent’s old homestead which he thoroughly enjoyed. His favorite holiday was Canada Day which also happens to be New Germany Day, and his and Junes wedding anniversary. A kind and gentle man of strong character with a unique sense of style and humor he will be greatly missed by family, friends and neighbors. Many thanks to all those that helped him especially Dr. T. Riding, the Palliative Care team, 4th floor of the South Shore Regional Hospital and Rosedale "Meals on Wheels". A reception in his honour will take place on Saturday, 24 September, from 2 to 4pm at the Epworth United Church Hall in New Germany. A private burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Craig's Cause Pancreatic Cancer Society through the QEII Foundation at 902-473-7932 or a charity of choice.
