Obituary of Verna Blossom Richard

Verna Blossom Richard 82, Rhodes Corner, Lunenburg Co., passed away on Thursday, January 27, 2011 at South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Waterloo, she was a daughter of the late Daniel and Susie B. (Hebb) Weagle. She loved the outdoors, going for walks and gardening, knitting and crafts. She was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, Rhodes Corner, where she was also a member of the ladies aid. Surviving are husband, Maxwell F. Richard, Rhodes Corner; sons, Ross (Nan) Richards, Corkums Island; Darrell (Peggy) Richards, Rhodes Corner; grandson, Tyler Richards, Fredericton; brothers, Elmer (Ramona) and Harris (Doris), all of Buckfield; sister in law, Phyllis Weagle, Waterloo; brother in law, Wilfred Croft, Buckfield; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters, Jean Croft, Violet Heim, Phyllis Langille; brothers, Eldon, Mervin. Visitation 2-4 p.m., Sunday in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Funeral 11 a.m., Monday in St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, Rhodes Corner. Rev. Ben H. Coltvet officiating. Private family burial to follow in Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater.
