Obituary of Albert Scott

Albert Scott 92, Of Bridgewater, passed away May 12, 2011 at the South Shore Regional Hospital in Bridgewater. Albert was born in Mose Ambrose, Fortune Bay, NL on March 24, 1919 to Charles and Charlotte (Tibbo) Scott. Albert served overseas in WW2 and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 24, in Bridgewater. He leaves behind his wife, Evelyn (Zinck) and his children: sons, Arthur (June) Scott, Sable River, Roger Scott, Bridgewater, daughters, Rose Wakeley, Marystown, NL, Grace (John) Lawrence, Bridgewater, stepchildren: Irene (Vernon) Eisnor, Bridgewater, Mary Anne (Myles) Wentzell, Dieppe, NB, Ivy (Tommy) Bollivar, Pine Grove, Nancy Drennan, Rhodes Corner, Byron (Stephen) MacPhail-Silver, Toronto, Chris (Christina) Silver, Pictou County and Donna (Neil) Halverson, Rhodes Corner. He is survived by brothers, Randall Scott, Hr. Breton, NL, Murdock Scott, Victoria, BC, Leo Scott, Marystown, NL and sister, Mary Power, St. John’s, NL. He is also survived by 27 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren. He was predeceased by first wife Rose (Baker), brothers, Sam and Tom. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm with a public legion tribute service being held at 7pm in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Funeral service will be held 11am Monday May 16 in Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Bridgewater, Rev Ron Appleton officiating. Burial will follow in the Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater.
