Obituary of Howard Melvin Swallow

Howard Melvin Swallow 1917-2011. It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Howard Swallow on Oct. 19, 2011 at the Villa Acadienne in Meteghan, N.S. formerly of Falkland Ridge & New Germany, N.S. He was the son of the late Willard and Effie Swallow of Falkland Ridge. Howard spent his life as a farmer, woodsman, labourer and construction foreman and always enjoyed the companionship of his dogs. Howard is survived by his daughters, June Massey of Meteghan; Betty Bliss (Barclay) of Fredericton, N.B. and son, Fred Swallow (Lynn) of Fredericton; grandchildren, Ben, Vickie, Michelle, Joel, Lori and great granddaughter, Nova Lee. He was predeceased by his brother Vernon Swallow. There will be no visitation or funeral by the request of the family. The arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny's Funeral Home in New Germany, N.S. Donations may be made to the animal rescue league or a charity of the donor's choice.
