Obituary of Jean Marion Wentzell

Jean Marion Wentzell 95 of Oak Hill, Lunenburg Co., passed away peacefully on Friday the 28th of January 2011 in Ryan Hall, Bridgewater. Born in Oak Hill, she was the daughter of the late Charles “Currie” and Ida (Woodworth) Whynott and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Jean received a Business Diploma in the 1930’s from Maritime Business College and was an active member of Oak Hill and District Fire Department Auxiliary for 35 years and served as president for a term. She enjoyed spending time with family, friends and her many pets over the years. Jean is survived by daughters Rosalie (Lester) Berrigan, Bridgewater; Nancy Baker, Lower Sackville; son Phillip (Virginia Arenburg) Wentzell, Oak Hill; grandchildren Peter (Jane) Berrigan; Josh, Kyle and Adam Baker along with several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Ainslie; brothers Merle and Scott. Visitation will be held 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. Monday, the 31st of January in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. A private family graveside service will be held Tuesday the 1st of February in Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater, Fr. Ron Appleton officiating. Family flowers only, please.
