Norma Bessie Whynot
75, Bridgewater, formerly of New Germany, passed away on Monday, June 20, 2011 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Middlewood, she was a daughter of the late William and Esther (Meisner) Slauenwhite. She was a member of Epworth United Church, New Germany and the Rosedale New Horizons Seniors Club, New Germany. Surviving are her daughters, Carolyn, Dartmouth; Patricia, Bridgewater; sons, Clyde Jr., Bridgewater; Michael, Vancouver; Wayne, New Germany; Paul, Caledon, Ont.; sister, June Warren, Bear River; seven grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Clyde Wellington Whynot; infant son, Brian. No visitation at the funeral home by request. Service of Remembrance 1 p.m. Wednesday in Epworth United Church. Pastor Susan Reid officiating. Private family interment in Epworth Cemetery, New Germany. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or Epworth United Church.
