Obituary of Lela Robar

Lela Mae Robar (Acker) Due to the weather, visitation for Sunday Night has been cancelled. It will now be held At St. Paul's Lutheran Church, North River from 1 to 2pm prior to the service. 85 of North River died peacefully on the 7th of November 2007 in the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater surrounded by her loved ones. She was the daughter of the late Elnora Elizabeth and Gordon Acker. She was born in North River on October 28 1922. She was a loving mother and grandmother and she was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, North River. She was predeceased by her husband Stanley; daughter Helena; son John; son in law Douglas; sisters Audrey and Geneva; brother Aubrey and great grandson Stephen. Surviving are daughters Betty, Watford; Carolanne (Larry) at home; Donna (Gilford) Caledonia; Patricia (Larry) Kingston; sons Merlin (Elizabeth), Carson (Rose), Bruce (Sandi), son in law Carol all of North River; brother Cyril (Joyce) Acker, New Germany; 20 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; 1 niece and 2 nephews. Visitation will be held 7 to 9 pm Sunday at Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 4895 hwy 10, New Germany. Memorial service will be 2 pm Monday in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, North River, Rev. Larry Ehrhardt officiating. Burial will follow in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church cemetery. Family flowers only, memorial donations may be made to Lunenburg County Home Support Services Society or St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
