Obituary of Lloyd James Britten

Lloyd James Britten 85, of Bridgewater formally from Sydney, passed away Thursday 6 December 2012 in the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in D'escouse Nova Scotia, he was the son of the late James and Clara (Sampson) Britten. Lloyd is survived by his sons Mike (Valerie), Big Pond; Matt (Shelley), Bridgewater; Lowell, Bridgewater; Frank (Carol Ann) Fredericton, NB; sister Joan Pourier, Port Hawkesbury; brother Bernie (Elsie), Sydney; 8 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild along with many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Mathilda; sister Eula Sampson; brothers Elmer and Clem. Cremation has taken place under the direction of C.F. Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Visitation will be held 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. Sunday 9 December in T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel, Sydney. Memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday 10 December in St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church,40 Cabot Street, Sydney, Father Jim Oliver officiating. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks. No flowers by request.
