Obituary of Mary Carver

Mary Carver We regret to announce the passing of Mary Carver at the South Shore Regional Hospital early morning on February 17, 2012. Born in Ashton u Lyne, England in 1923, she was the daughter of the late Rupert and Doris (Flowers) Stafford. She served in the British Army during WW11 and Immigrated to Canada in 1946 as a war bride bringing two babies with her. She took pride in looking after her family and her pet dogs. Her interests included rock tumbling, knitting, crocheting, gardening and painting, and also writing poetry, all family members have a memento from one of her hobbies. She is survived by her daughters Marilyn (Curtis) Oliver, Halifax, Christine (Ralph) Meisner, Conquerall Mills, and Margaret (James) Rutley, Victoria, BC, brother Harry Stafford (England), seven grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. She was predeceased by her husband Arnold, Sister Vera, Brothers Arthur and Rupert in England. Cremation has taken place. A private family memorial service will be held, Lay Minister Vernon Mossman officiating, Pastor Leroy Corkum assisting. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater. Flowers accepted.
