Florence Ann Clark
68, Elmwood, Lunenburg Co., passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2012 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Elmwood, she was a daughter of the late Boyd & Beryl (Pierce) Zinck and foster daughter of the late Howard and Marguerite Rogers, Wolfville. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion, branch 102, New Germany for many years. Prior to retirement, she worked for over 25 years for Victoria Transport, Brantford, Ont. Surviving are husband, Gordon Clark; son, Robert Hake, Elmwood; daughters, Heather Hake and Lisa Graves, both of Brantford, Ont.; Janice Clark, Burlington; Jennifer Clark, Kincardine; daughter in law, Susan Hake, Brantford; grandchildren James Hake, Ashley and Christopher Hake, Jeremy, Billy and Sara Graves; Joshua and Nicholas Clark, Jared and Caleb Shawcross; sisters, Betty Manthorne, Milton; May Seagers, Dartmouth; Camille Herbin, Wolfville; brothers, Carman Rogers, Avonport; Alan Rogers, Berwick; Dean Rogers, Berwick; special friend and neighbor, Beverley Hawkesworth, Elmwood. She was predeceased by brothers, Foster Zinck, Victor Rogers; sisters, Jean West, Marjorie Cole. Keeping with Florence’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. The family will have an open house on Wednesday, May 16 from 2-4 p.m. at the Clark residence, 135 Beeler Road, Elmwood. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church of Parkdale - Maplewood. A private burial will take place at a later date in Brantford, Ont.
