Obituary of Dorothy Elma Chisholm

Dorothy Elma Chisholm Of Bridgewater, passed away peacefully in Mahone Bay on Tuesday November 13th with her loving family by her side. Dorothy (affectionately known as “Dot”) was born in New Glasgow on November 24, 1920 to the late Gertrude (Urquhart) and John Clark; she was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Dot was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by daughters, Donna (Stewart) Sprague, Cobourg, ON, Marilyn (Sterling) Anthony, Bridgewater, Sandra, Dartmouth and Jacqueline (Faron) Whynott, Bridgewater; grandchildren Kirk, Erica, Jason, Penny, Brett, Kimberley, Shawna and Jacqueline and eight great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband John and daughter Cheryl (Ken) Beck, sisters, Greta Lewis, Margaret Ellis and brother Elmer Clark. Dot will always be remembered for her beautiful smile and her gift of making those around her laugh. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2pm Saturday November 17th at Sweeny’s Chapel, Rev. Angela Stewart officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater.
