Ermie Veronica Coolen
95 of Falmouth, formerly of Springfield Annapolis Co. passed away Friday 7 December 2012 in the Windsor Elms Village, Falmouth. Born in Lake Pleasant, Annapolis Co. she was the daughter of the late Harry and Meda (Tufts) Wile. Ermie is survived by her daughters Kathy (Scotty) Cameron, Windsor; Judy (Joseph) VanDevender, Indianapolis, Indiana USA; son Gerald (Maggie) Coolen, Dartmouth; son-in-law Cliffe Churches, BC; sisters Lily Russell, New Germany; Emily Wile, Aylesford; LaVerne Clayton, Hantsport; Shirley (Ralph) MacDonald, Mt Denson; brother Berlyn (Joanne) Wile, Wolfville; sisters-in-law Leta Corkum, Dartmouth; Phyllis Linton, California USA; grandchildren David, Anne, Chris, Nicole, Jason, Cindy, Christine, Sandra, Diana and Cliffe Jr.; 16 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren along with numerous loved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Medford; daughter Carol Churches; sisters Florence Silver and Hilda Neily. She loved us with a passion! Mum loved her days out with Kathy, Judy’s trips home and Gerald’s visits to play cards. She had a great sense of humour and loved to quilt. She was a homemaker who could prepare a feast out of a can of beans and always had baked goodies for her family. Going to church on Sunday was her heart’s desire. Cremation has taken place under the direction of C.F. Sweeny’s Funeral Home, New Germany. There will be no visitation by request. A memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday 12 December in Springfield United Baptist Church, Rev. Robert Gates officiating. Burial will follow in the Springfield United Baptist Cemetery. Family flowers only, please. Memorials in Ermie’s memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Springfield United Baptist Church.
