Obituary of Lee David Corkum

Lee David Corkum 89, of Bridgewater, passed away on Thursday 5 January 2012 in his home. Born in Middle LaHave, he was the son of the late Aubrey and Maud (Mosher) Corkum. Lee was a veteran of World War 2 and was also very active in his community serving with the Bridgewater Volunteer Fire Department Band, the Bridgewater Curling Club and the Royal Canadian Legion. He is survived by his daughter Jane Corkum (Brian Tittle), P.E.I.; son Blair (Loraine) Corkum, Bridgewater; grandsons Tyler and Max along with many nieces and nephews. Lee was predeceased by his wife Ruth; sister Marguerite Harding. There will be no visitation by request. Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 A.M., Tuesday 10 January in St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Bridgewater, Fr. Brian Murphy officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Cemetery. Family flowers only, please. Memorial donations in Lee’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the S.H.A.I.D. Animal Shelter.
