Obituary of Oliver Lossing Corkum

Oliver Lossing Corkum 78, Bridgewater. It is with great sadness that the family of Oliver Corkum announce his peaceful passing on Monday September 10, 2012 at the QEII hospital following a brief illness. Born and raised in the Bridgewater area he was the son of the late Stanley and Nellie (Meisner) Corkum. Oliver spent many years on the water fishing having held many different positions throughout his career. He retired from fishing spending more time with his children, grand children and great grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by his special companion Marlene Robart of Bridgewater; son, Wilfred Corkum (Nicole) of Conquerall Mills; daughters Zelda Corkum of Bridgewater; Tina Cudmore (Patrick) of Lower Branch; Amanda Robert (Roland) of Belle River; grandchildren, Andrew Bolivar, Brianna Bolivar, Amber Corkum, Colton Corkum, Ashlee Corkum, Bailey Robert, Whitlee Cudmore, Meadoe Cudmore, Cameron Robert; great grand children, Mackenzie, Alanna, Abigail, Channele, Madison, and Felicity. He was predeceased by wife, Hilda (Cross) Corkum. A celebration of life will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, September 13th, 2012 at the Conquerall Mills Community Hall. Please join us with fond memories and funny stories as we know there are many. Cremation has taken place under the compassionate direction of Sweeny’s Funeral Home of Bridgewater.
