Obituary of John Harvey Crouse
John Harvey "Jack" Crouse
92 of Hebbville passed away Monday 16 July 2012 in his home. Born in Tuxford Saskatchewan, he was the son of the late Harvey and Grace (Thompson) Crouse. Jack was a mechanic by trade, but his love was the outdoors. He spent memorable weekends with friends and family at his hunting camp but also loved his solitary visits to the woods. Towards the end, Jack was strong. He faced his end with dignity, bravery and a sense of humour. Jack is survived by his wife Maggie Snyder-Crouse; daughters Donna (Russell) White, Halifax; Sharon Crouse, Shubenacadie; Johanna Benning, Iqaluit Nunavut; Margot Benning, Florida; Donna Snyder, Aulenback Point; son Doug (Melissa) Snyder, Maders Cove; sisters Reta Hebb, Hebbville; Barbara Pentz, Camperdown; grandchildren Paul Benning, Jorel Pentz, Kamahra Lamb, Bryhton Lamb, Daniel Snyder, Dianna Snyder along with several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Reta and sister Ada Hebb. Visitation will be held 7:00 to 9:00 P.M., Wednesday 18 July in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater and from where the Funeral Service will be held 11:00 A.M., Thursday 19 July, Rev. Willis Ott officiating. Burial will follow in Christ Lutheran Church Cemetery, Camperdown. Family flowers only, please. Memorial donations in Jack’s memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation; The World Wildlife Federation or the charity of choice.
