Obituary of Ronald R. Durling

Dr. Ronald Reginald Durling 68 of Petite Riviere, Lunenburg Co., passed away Monday 17 December 2012 at the South Shore Regional Hospital. Born in Middleton, Annapolis Co. he was the son of the late Reginald and Elizabeth (Veinot) Durling. Ronald is survived by his daughter Tiffaney (Jason) Arnold, Quispamsis, NB; son Todd Durling, Bridgewater; their mother Sharon; brothers Bob, Enderby, BC; Caleb (Maureen), Halifax; Bill (Helen), Fall River; Frank, Bridgetown; grandchildren Owen and Ava along with several nieces and nephews. Ron, a much loved family physician with a practice in Bridgewater for over 35 years, was known to be very compassionate with his patients and their families. Ron was also an avid nature enthusiast, who spent much of his time enjoying the great outdoors. When not at work, he could often be seen driving his Ford Bronco with a trailer attached to the back, or heading out for an adventure in his vintage MGB. Ron was extremely proud of his family, especially his grandchildren, and he will be missed dearly by all who knew him. Visitation will be held 7 to 9 P.M. Thursday 20 December, and Funeral Service will be held 11:00 A.M Friday 21 December, both in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater, Rev. Alvin Westgate officiating. Burial will follow at 2:30 P.M., on Friday in Fairview Cemetery, Lawerancetown, Annapolis Co. Family flowers only.
